The Yamaha 677H flute features non-inline open keys and a silver body and headstock.
Based on the design of the A-type headstock supplied with the Handmade series flutes, the Am-type headstock additionally offers easier response and excellent balance across the entire range of the instrument and, with a slightly more noticeable resistance, facilitates wide dynamic range.
The keys are assembled by hand and meticulously balanced for perfect touch.
The shape of the keys has been so exquisitely designed and their position ergonomically studied that the flute will almost “disappear� in your hands.
The performance will seem absolutely effortless on your part.
The keys of A#, F# and other non-digitized holes have keys with teardrop-ended connection arms.
We find them in handmade flutes and their beautiful design is inspired by the traditional European style.
The Straubinger Phoenixâ„¢ pads offer the same concept as the Straubingerâ„¢ pads used on the Handmade flute models and have a design more suitable for the 700/600 series. Phoenix pads provide a softer touch but also better response, wide dynamic range and tolerance to environmental variations identical to Straubingerâ„¢ pads. The wall thickness has been increased by 0.38 mm. to 0.43 mm. to improve the balance between the use of the new Am head and the Straubinger Phoenixâ„¢ swabs.
